Day 1 – Delhi to Rishikesh (225 kms) An early morning drive to Rishikesh. Evening at leisure. You can experience divine ecstasy of any ashram around. Overnight stay in the resort.
Day 2– Rishikesh to Barkot/ Syani Chatti (165/195 kms) You will be driven to Barkot/ Syani chatti by evening. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 3 – Barkot/ Syani Chatti to Hanuman Chatti to Yamnotri to Janki Bai Chatti An early morning drive (at 6:30 am) , reaching Hanuman chatti at 8 am. Clock in at the resort, visit to famous Hanuman temple. A trek till Yamnotri and while coming downhill halt will be at Janki bai chatti which accounts for 26kms. Overnight stay at Janki bai chatti.
Day 4 - Janki Bai Chatti to Hanuman Chatti to Uttarkashi (14 kms) An early morning trek from Janki bai chatti, reaching there by 6am, further advancing to Hanuman chatti. Further will depart to Uttarkashi for an overnight stay in the resort.
Day 5 - Uttarkashi to Gangotri (100 kms) Leaving for Gangotri from Uttarkashi at 6am. Reaching Gangotri at 11am, one of the chief pilgrimage site, visit to Gangotri temple. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 6 – Gangotri Whole day for relaxation. Else, 18 km trek to Gaumukh glacier at an additional cost can be done. Explore divine magnificence of nature in the evening. You can also involve yourself in regular prayer at Gangotri. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 7 - Gangotri to Uttarkashi (100 kms) Leaving Gangotri late in the evening and advancing to Uttarkashi. On reaching Uttarkashi, whole day at leisure. These breaks are mandatory for you to keep you in sound health and to enjoy scenic beauty at it’s best. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 8 - Uttarkashi to Gaurikund (235 kms) An early morning drive from Uttarkashi around 7am, reaching Gaurikand by evening.
Visit to Gauri Devi temple and your involvement in spellbound prayers will enchant your day. Overnight stay in hotel in Gaurikand.
Day 9 - Gaurikund to Kedarnath (14 kms) An early morning trek, reaching Kedarnath by lunch. Visit to temple in the evening. Overnight stay in hotel in Kedarnath.
Day 10 - Kedarnath to Gaurikund to Nandprayag (150 kms) Leaving for trek after breakfast of bout 14 kms from Kedarnath to Gaurikund. Reaching Gaurikund around 12 noon. Leaving Gaurikund after Lunch, reaching Nandaprayag by 7pm. Overnight stay in the hotel in Nandaprayag.
Day 11 - Nandprayag to Badrinath (80 kms) Leaving Nandprayag at 7am in the morning and reaching Badrinath by lunch. Visit to pilgrimage site after lunch. Evening occupied with having Darshan an involvement in prayers. Overnight stay in hotel in Badrinath.
Day 12 - Badrinath to Nandprayag (80 kms.) Leaving for Nandprayag after lunch. Evening for Darshan. Overnight stay in hotel in Nandprayag.
Day 13 - Nandprayag to Rishikesh (200 kms) Visit to Lakshman jhula and Ashrams, which were left previously. Overnight stay in hotel in Rishikesh.
Day 14 - Rishikesh to Haridwar to Delhi (225 kms) While returing Delhi from Rishikesh , en route visit to Hari Dwar. You can also visit Har ki Pauri and Mansa Devi Temple with some additional costs. On reaching Delhi, one day stay can be arranged, else you will be assisted by our agent to airport or railway station depending upon your convenience |
Rishikesh is an amalgamation of serene beauty and holy pilgrimage which encompasses saints and sages. It is believed that Lord Rama’s brother subjected himself to self-punishment at this place. It is entrance to various pilgrimage sites such as Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamnotri and has number of Ashrams. The yoga ashrams of Rishikesh have attracted an immense amount of tourists all over the world. Lakshman jhula is 3kms from Rishikesh and it is believed that, Lord Rama and his brother Lakshman crossed river Ganges on a jute rope.
Hanuman Chatti is magnificent and peaceful small ‘chattti’ from where trek to Yamnotri begins.
Janki bai chatti is rough and rugged track route to Yamnotri temple. It gives a fabulous panoramic view of snow-capped mountains.
Gangotri Temple is the temple of Goddess Ganga. It is dignified in the valley of Gods surrounded by mountains and divine beauty of nature. Thousands of devotees come each year to pay homage. Gangotri opens every year on the religious day of ‘Akshya –Tritya’ during last week of april or first week of may, with puja on the waters of the Ganges according to customs.
Uttarkashi is situated on the banks of Bhagirathi. It has historical monuments, ashrams and dharamshalas (hotels) in large numbers. Lord Shiva is the only deity being worshiped in the archaic temple of Lord Vishwanath. There are many other temples also. On the day of Makar Sakranti, town holds it’s true liveliness.
The Yamnotri Temple is situated at the foothills of Kalind Parvat with Yamuna in it’s with crystal clear and icy cold water at the height of 3,185 meters. It is near a hot spring spurting steaming water. It acts as a backdrop of magnificent waterfalls from height of more than 2000mtrs. The temple opens on the religious day of ‘Akshya –Tritya’ during last week of april or first week of may, with puja on the waters of the Ganges according to customs.
Kedarnath Temple is believed to make unholy person holy and holy person, even holier. Kedarnath shrine stands opposite to Mandakini valley. Mandakini valley is filled with glacier and there streams comes out of these glaciers and the fourth stream is Dudh Ganga comes down a mountain on the opposite side, unifies with Mandakini waterfalls and cliffs are found in the valley up to Gaurikund. Formation of the biggest ‘Shivling’ can be seen here. Thousands of devotees visit every year.
Gaurikund is located at 1982 meters above sea level and is the site where Goddess Parvati meditated to achieve Lord Shiva. Pilgrims visit here to take a bath in hot water ponds.
Badrinath Temple has a beautiful 15.25 meters tall shrine. It is placed on the rear side of Rishi Ganga (Alaknanda). Its location brings about supreme spiritual peace and feeling of joviality.
Hari Dwar can also be pronounced as ‘Gateway of the Gos’. It is Gateway to pilgrimage such as Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamnotri. It is located at the right bank of ganges at the foothills of Shivaliks. Here Kumbh is held after every 12 yrs. According to the Hindu myth, the holy waters of Ganges emancipate a person from worldly sins by taking a dip in the holy water.
